Η Nadia Ksaiba θεωρείται απο πολλούς μια ανερχόμενη superstar dj και ένα καλά κρυμμένο μυστικό και για την σύγχρονη χορευτική σκηνή της Βρετανίας. Ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της σαν ιδρυτικό μέλος του περίφημου club night ‘And Did We Mention Our Disco?’, που μέχρι και το 2006 θεωρούνταν ένα απο τα κορυφαία εβδομαδιαία parties του Λονδίνου μαζί με το ‘Trash’ του Erol Alkan, ο οποίος για την τελευταία του σεζόν στο ‘The End’ την είχε τοποθετήσει resident dj της βραδιάς του. Το εκλεκτικό της γούστο και οι ικανότητες της στα dexx βοήθησαν τα Our Disco parties όχι μόνο στο να γίνουν talk of the town, αλλά και να λανσάρουν πριν απο όλους τότε στο Λονδίνο, μουσικές και live performances απο ονόματα εταιρειών όπως η Ed Banger, η Gomma και η DFA.
H μαζική αναγνώριση ως ήταν αναμενόμενο, δεν άργησε να έρθει και σύντομα η Ksaiba βρέθηκε στην κορυφή της λίστας με τους καλλίτερους ανερχόμενους djs των Βρετανικών περιοδικών. Μια πληθώρα αξιόλογων ονόματων όπως 2 Many Djs, Erol Alkan, Andrew Weatherall, Optimo, Tiefschwarz, Justice, Chromeo, Hot Chip, Mylo, New Order κ.α. υποκλίνονται στο ταλέντο της και έτσι η Nadia αποκτά μια σειρά απο residencies σε αντίστοιχα club nights της Ευρώπης ενώ στην Αγγλία εμφανίζεται ως guest πια σε όλα τα cool parties και ξεκινά μόνιμη συνεργασία με την περίφημη Bugged Out.

Q. – Back in 2001 you, Rory Phillips, Glyn Campbell and Den Odell decided to come up with the idea of a club night called “Did We Mention Our Disco?”. Tell us a few things about these years and their impact in your career as well as in London’s club night.
Well Glyn and Den came up with the Idea and asked me and Rory to play. I think at the time it was one of the few clubs that played no particular style of music because we all had different musical backgrounds. We had a bit of a rest when every other night in london started to do the same thing.
Q. – You have play records alongside everyone who is someone in terms of crossover djing. Who did you like most and which night turned out to be more important on building your name?
i think the best nights are when you are playing with friends and people who are into the same sort of music as you, so with rory, SMD, with optimo, bugged out is always good.. I have been going there myself since i was 18. and at fabric the other week was pretty good line up.. i played with 2manydjs, erol playing as beyone the wizard sleeve, Smd, inflagranti, Dave P and JDH, Daniel Avery, Todd Hart.
Q. – What kind of records do you like to play in your sets and what kind of records you rather listening at home?
well i listen to radio 3 some times world and jazz, i don’t really play that out.
but listen to a lot of electro, disco, soul and dance music.
Q. – We’ve witnessed disco punk funk, electroclash, nu rave, acid house revival, dubstep etc.What do you think comes next?
deep house! oh god! I really don’t know. I have always been into retro sounds so hopefully something from the past.
Q. – Djing for/with Klaxons you’ve been all over to many festivals arround the world. Which are these that you wanna visit again?
I think over Summer we are doing a few shows together and am looking forward to ibiza. it’s always good when we go back to our home town, bournemouth.. we do this every christmas.
Q.- Do you prefer getting a solo dj career as Nadia Ksaiba or as a member of a dj team such as “Our Disco” for example?
I prefer playing on my own.. with other good djs before and after at a good club like Our disco.. haha

I love mixes, even mix mp3s or Mix CDs it’s a great way for people to find out about music and would love to do my own CD one day.
Q.- There are lots of wannabe djs and club night promoters reading this, so using your experience, give us a few advices for those who wanna start a club night and those who wanna become successful djs in a successful club night.
oh, erm make sure that u are using a realy good soundsystem and it will make up for anything else that might go wrong.
Q.- Have ever though or being involved in music production?
Yes. It’s something I do but need more practise at.
Q. – Give us a top 5 of upcoming bands for 2008 and a top 5 of upcoming djs.
erm there are some great dj / producers love fingers, prince language, etiene jamuet
and bands zombie zombie, late of the pier, these new puritans, i spend too much time listen to old stuff, but these aren’t that new but their first albums will be coming out this year, so new enough.
Q.- There were “Our Disco” then a bit of “Trash”, then “Bugged Out”, “Modular U.K. records” parties, Klaxons dj team and now SAY YES.Tell us something that we don’t know and tell us about any future plans of yours.

Q. – So, in a few days you have a gig in Athens where even names like Erol Alkan hasn’t visit yet and 2 Manydjs did (an almost sold out) a gig just recently for first time. What do you expect from Athens party people and what should they expect from you.
